Soggy Saturday

Freedom Church has grown out of a group of people who love the Waddington community, and want to see it flourishing.  One of the ways we’ve been trying to help families flourish is through our family fun afternoon, Soggy Saturday.  Unfortunately, as with so many things at the moment, we can’t run in person this year, but we’re working on how we can bring some of the fun of Soggy Saturday to your home!

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we are unable to hold in-person Soggy Saturdays at the moment. If you want some free family fun, please check our Facebook page here, to find out what we are doing at the moment.

Soggy Saturdays have been running since November 2015, and we’ve had hundreds of visitors over the last few years.  They happen once a month in the wetter months, generally on the last Saturday before pay day, and are open to anyone who has a small person aged between 0 and 11.

There are lots of different activities on offer – from our ever-popular bouncy castle to an area for tiny babies, challenges for all the family, messy play, refreshments, craft activities, toys and our family quiz.  There’s no charge for coming along, and we’ll be there come rain, shine, snow, or wind!

Although Soggy Saturday is run by Freedom Church, there is no ‘Christian’ content (beyond the odd nativity scene at Christmas!) – we absolutely welcome folks of all faiths and none, and just want to help families in Waddington have a fun afternoon without it costing anything.
