While we can’t meet in person, we’re trying out other ways to help families have fun together. So if you have a small person (less than school age), and would like a free box of crafts and activities once a month, please do get in touch and we’d love to deliver you one!
This month we’re getting all Christmassy! We’ve got a lovely retelling of the Christmas story for you to listen to – and you can download it too by clicking on the three dots on the right hand side.
There are loads of other resources available on the internet if you want to explore the story of the very first Christmas even more. Some of our favourites are on the fantastic Trueway Kids’ pages – you can find them at https://truewaykids.com/ category/bible-lesson/christmas-lessons/.
We mentioned in our letter about some other activities and groups which you might be interested in;
- If your little one is under school age, you would be very welcome to join us at Little Angels (if you don’t already!) We are running weekly Zoom gatherings on a Thursday afternoon (from 1.30pm), with a chance to have a natter for you, and a story and some singing for the little ones. Zoom is dead easy to use, and you don’t even need to sign up for an account! You can contact us here for more information, or take a look at the information here, or on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/LittleAngelsTotsGroup.
- If your little one is a little older (5+), our friends at St Michael’s Church are still running their ‘Discoverers’ after school club, although they can’t meet in person. You can find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/339137400634070 or contact Sue Kenyon on firstname.lastname@example.org.
And we haven’t forgotten Soggy Saturday either – as well as sharing this craft box with the Soggy Saturday families (and making one for the older children too), we are looking for ways to keep blessing families in Waddington and the surrounding area while we can’t gather at the Village Hall for fun and mayhem! If you have any great ideas, do get in touch – we’d love to hear them.
